...nature's way of saying "stay indoors and don't bother watering the plants..."
I planted this little bit of a "garden" last week. The large leafy plant is oregano - it seems to thrive in this tropical climate - and there's Thai basil in there as well. From seed, I'm starting some hungarian wax peppers (thanks mom!), two kinds of lettuce (thanks also, mom!) some sage; and morning glories for our balcony railing, which are already growing like crazy:
And the lettuce is looking promising as well:
With the (high) price and (low) quality of available produce, it's been tough lately to eat fresh vegetables. I'm really looking forward to some home-grown salads!
garden in pots seems so much more manageable than a real garden. I cant wait to be caught up on this blog and find out if you're eating any of this stuff yet!
