Nick just pointed out that "this has become a blog about car shopping on the island of Guam for people with less than $10K" - probably pretty limited appeal.
So, let's talk about something more universal - BOONIE! Boonie means jungle - or wilderness - or "country" - on Guam. It's used as an adjective to describe anything that has been left to rot - "boonie cars" - or anything that grows wild. In addition to jungle plants, there are boonie peppers - tiny, extremely hot red chili peppers that are used in a lot of Chamorro cooking - boonie cats and boonie dogs, and -- boonie CHICKENS!
Boonie chickens run wild in the boonies! If you're anywhere outside of the hotel strip on Tumon bay, you can hear the boonie roosters crowing, day and night.
And speaking of chickens, check out "Maxx Racing" plus "Maxx Chicken" --
Chicken ... hotdog ... wich ...
Plus a $25 oil change! We HAVE to go there soon!
The wich in Guam is hype.
