5.5 this morning. I was standing in line at the post office, and felt nothing. A guy standing less than 10 feet away from me said "whoa, did you feel that?" and the man next to him in line felt it, but I didn't, though I heard the rumble. A block or two away, Nick felt it on the 4th floor of the AG's office, and called me because he thought it was a pretty strong quake (and he knows I get alarmed by these things!). How funny that the exact spot where you're standing can make such a difference. The last time Guam shook, Nick and I were sitting at the same table and I felt the quake but he did not.

Maybe it's all about what shoes you're wearing. If you have harder souls maybe you'd feel it less. You can always feel it from up in a high building. Last year I was on the 8th floor at work when the quake in Nevada happened and I felt it!
