Medical airlift insurance for Guam:
This is a fantastic idea! If our insurance doesn't cover airlift, I'm going to look into signing us up...
The hospital on Guam is just the pits. People who go there don't get better, and anyone who has had an experience with it seems to have a horror story about it. I remember being shocked, a month or two after arriving here, when an accident victim admitted to the hospital died of internal bleeding several days later - even though he was staying in the hospital. But if you keep an eye on the news, you see that kind of thing happening all the time...
There is talk of a private hopsital being built on island in the next few years, but in the meantime? Access to off-island medical care is vitally important. Though (knock on wood!) I hope we'd never need to use it...
