Online; no aircon.

The technician installed our internet connection today. 

Unfortunately, there is no technician and no help for our air conditioner. Our landlady is off-island and we're not sure how to get in touch with her; the handyman was the only emergency contact she gave us. I actually called the handyman yesterday and after a very difficult conversation, he informed me (I think) that he doesn't do aircon, and then hung up. This is an unseasonably hot time for Guam, the worst drought in over ten years, and record high temperatures. 

Fortunately this apartment actually has two aircon units; the broken one covers the bedrooms. So we've closed off the bedrooms and dragged the bed into the living room, so at least we can sleep at night - but if we'd wanted a studio apartment, we could have found a place with much cheaper rent! So, the situation is bearable, but rather irritating. Hopefully we'll get through to the landlady somehow...
