Er, this morning I looked at the posts from yesterday and wondered if it's a little too much ranting. I'm leaving them up because it wouldn't be totally honest to just take them down, but things are calmer now. Yesterday was trying. Today will be better!

Houston's Corpse Flower is blooming! A very rare occurrence, since these scarcely ever bloom "in captivity," and their natural habitat is limited to the island of Sumatra. You can watch the flower unfurl in realtime at the link above.
