It is our first-quarter-versary! Today! Actually yesterday in Guam, and RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE in Texas, which is where the joyous event occurred.
It has been a blessed and happy three months, and things are finally starting to come together here. We have an apartment of our own. We managed to get good deals on just about everything we needed to buy for it. We have friends on the island already - last Friday a whole group of us were out til midnight, the only patrons of a tiny, tired, stale little Korean bar in a strip mall in Tamuning, singing karaoke to make your ears bleed.
Yes, after three months on the far side of the world, we have a home, (Nick has) a job (and I'm going to get one, somehow), friends, and... well, each other.
I think we're turning out to be a pretty good team.
YAY! Congratulations you two! Best luck for so many quarter-verseries that they don't even seem special anymore (even though they are).
ReplyDeleteTomorrow (June tenth)is Matilda's quarter-birthday. She'll be three months old. She seems to be starting to get things together too.
What fun! Matilda's age and our anniversaries will always be the same number. It is amazing to see and hear about how much she has grown and changed in the last three months!
