On Sunday morning we woke to discover that the water pressure in our room was very low - and soon it stopped altogether. We called the rental desk, and their response was unconcerned: yes, the water was off, there was some work being done on the public water line down the street; no, not sure when it would come back, sometime in the afternoon probably. Did it occur to them that tenants would want to know that their water was going to be cut off? That toilets, showers and laundry would not be functioning?
Yes, well... well...
I guess that's just not how things will be, on Guam. This morning the electric power went off - no wind or storm or anything that would explain it, but down it went and for all I knew, it could be back in minutes, hours, or days... this time, it was just minutes. What will it be next time?
Water? Power? Next is hotdogs!!!
