We are moving once again, this time to a place "of our own" - that is, one that we don't owe to the kindness of strangers (who became friends, but who were, you know, initially strangers) ...
This is a cross between a budget hotel and an executive apartment - it's a moth-to-month rental at a place that looks like a budget hotel. At least it is clean, furnished, and actually includes a kitchenette (two burners, a microwave and an itty-bitty fridge). We'll be comfortable enough until we find something better.
When we looked into the place, we asked for a 1-bedroom unit, thinking that was all we'd need. So we took a tour of the 1-bedroom unit, and it was HUGE - a living room with two beds in it, plus a bedroom with two beds in it, plus a kitchenette and TWO bathrooms. So we asked if there was anything smaller, and we were shown a "studio," which was basically the same size: a large, large living room with four beds in it, plus a kitchenette and two bathrooms. I guess it intended for an economy family vacation, or something -although they had us sign a contract as if it were a rental.
Strange...
Oh well. It will do!
It'll be an adventure. Who knows, maybe it'll turn into a fabulous motivation for finding something quicker.
