Tropical rainfall. Nothing actually happens in this video, but I post it here for posterity - and anyone who wants to pretend for two minutes to sit quietly by the window, watching the wind and rain.
Hah! You guys live in a desert! A big salty desert... well, at least you get seasons. And snow!
We had so much rain yesterday - more rain in a day than we'd had in the whole month previous. Hopefully it will help the island cool down a little bit... Tho I just checked the national weather forecast, and it looks like Guam is no hotter than much of the rest of the nation, at this point...
I actually got in an almost argument with Paul about when to visit Guam. He said that if it's in the same hemisphere we won't want to go in the summer. I thought he was thinking of it as being like New Orleans or something and I kept insisting that it's tropical and the weather doesn't really change that much. Finally in the end he said that the weather not changing is exactly why people go to tropical places in the winter. The whole time I thought he was arguing that we should go in the spring or fall instead of the hot season!
